Globalization of Chinese Social Sciences publishes books in English and Chinese. The series has been published by Global Century Press from 2014. This book series promotes representative Chinese social scientific works and nearly a century of efforts made by social scientists both inside and outside China. The phrase ‘globalization of Chinese social sciences’ came out of a discussion with Professor Stephan Feuchtwang, at the London School of Economics in 2010, about the title of a book commemorating the 100th anniversary of Professor Fei Xiaotong’s birth. The first volume was published in both English and Chinese in 2014 by Global Century Press and, in 2015, jointly with New World Press. The dissemination of ‘Chinese social sciences’ covers a very wide range, in which the promotion of Fei Xiaotong’s work is only the first step. For more details see the General Preface by the Editor of the book series.
